About me

Hi, I'm Jeanette, and here is my story.

I had a pro found childhood experience that shaped my journey to becoming the artist I always wanted to be.

The right side of our brain is associated with freedom and creativity. Being in your right brain is a wonderful, stressless state of mind. I found this freedom early in my life as a child, and I visited it often mostly through the activity of drawing.

Classmates would acknowledge my creativity, which helped build self esteem in those young years. Around the age of seven, I heard a voice say, you are going to be an artist. I had no understanding of spirituality or God, but the feeling of joy from that experience is one I'll never forget.

Today, I know that the voice came from God. It would take 30 plus more years for me to embody and believe I was truly an artist. I became a hair-dresser and spent many years teaching clients how to do their hair, always simplifying the process for them.

I dreamed of one day becoming a "real" artist. I finally carved out some time each week from my job, joined at Co-Op and started teaching. I won numerous awards and sold my art. I had gallery representation locally and on the Central Coast here in California.
